Harvey Girls delivers a range of services across East Staffordshire.

Outreach Support

Any parent who has a 0-5 year old child and identified needs for low level family support (Tier 2) can access our Outreach Service. We visit the family in their home to provide one to one help with improving home life and outcomes for children. This service provides a range of activities focused on developing house-keeping, money management and parenting skills; developing confidence, aspiration and reducing isolation; accessing education, employment, training and volunteering opportunities; and supporting families to access other relevant services.

Practical and fun group sessions for young mums and pregnant girls in Children’s Centre’s across Burton, and Dads4Dads groups, delivering a range of activities aimed at improving parenting and life skills. Groups are based on peer support and incorporate Parenting and Life skills and emotional support as well as practical support on a range of issues such as accessing funding, benefits and accommodation. They also promote healthy lifestyle choices including sexual health and contraception advice, diet and menu choices as well as providing a balanced meal and practical skills based sessions.

Children attend and are supported by a Play Worker to engage in activities aimed at improving their development and social skills (linked to EYFS milestones).
