4 January 2021
Message from Ian North, Chief Executive
‘We are now in 2021, and although we welcome the new year and the fresh start it brings, we know there are still many local families who are finding things difficult at the moment.
‘Last year, the pandemic saw new and unprecedented restrictions being rolled out. Some families have lost loved ones. Some have struggled with the isolation of not being able to see family and friends. Others may be struggling financially due to having their hours or pay cut, or losing their jobs altogether.
‘School closures, college closures, childcare services and support groups being put on hold have all had a huge impact on family life at home.
‘At East Staffordshire Family Support Service, we understand how difficult it is to be a parent right now.
‘Whether you’re two parents, a single parent, working from home, going into work as normal, furloughed, whether you’re receiving Universal Credit or not – anyone can self-refer to us for free and confidential family support.
‘Our team are passionate about helping people no matter what the circumstances. Many of us have families of our own – we do not judge – we are ready to help.’
